Budapest, with its rich history, is home to several ancient structures. Some of the oldest houses and buildings are to be found in the Castle District.
The Castle District, on the Buda side of BudaPest, is filled with medieval houses and buildings, many of which date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. The district itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Buda Castle
Originally built in the 13th century, it has been rebuilt and renovated multiple times. While the current structure mostly reflects Baroque architecture from the 18th century, some medieval elements remain.

Fisherman's Bastion: Just a short walk from Buda Castle, this neo-Gothic terrace provides some of the best panoramic views of Budapest, especially of the Parliament Building across the river. The terrace provides with a culinary experience as well, offering a romantic scene with great service and delicious foods.
